Contest: Draw My OCs (Closed)

The title says it all, really

Choose from the OCs listed below or anyone else you find in my gallery, and draw them! You can do as you like with them- draw them with your own OCs, take them to AUs, or just illustrate a scene you imagine with them. Be creative, and most importantly- have fun!

The grand prize is a tablet, and there are two to choose from, as well as a multitude of other fantastic prizes!

Both are near-new condition and work excellently- the only thing they're missing is the outer packaging. Each comes with the tablet itself, a pen and nib replacement tool, all the necessary leads and cables and a disk with the driver on (drivers can also be downloaded from the manufacturer's websites). I bought myself a new tablet a while ago and so have no need of these ones any more, so I thought it would be good fun to offer them to other artists who I know will use them well

Please read the rules carefully! If there's any confusion about anything, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

For a tablet to be eligible to win, there must be at least 5 entries for it. There must be at least 10 entries overall for the contest to go ahead; if this number is not reached, all entrants will instead receive a sketch prize for their participation. If there are more than 10 entries total but one tablet does not have the 10 entry minimum, all entries will be switched to the qualifying tablet and the other tablet will be unwinnable. If there are 10 entries overall but one tablet proves more popular than the other, all entries will go to the popular tablet and the other will become unwinnable.

Entries must be created and uploaded after the opening date of this contest (15th June 2013) and before the closing date (15th September 2013, midnight GMT).

Entries will be judged on level of effort, skill in the chosen medium, and effectiveness of the concept. I will judge the entries but may call upon friends for help if it's a difficult decision; these people I know to be fully impartial and fair in their choices, there will be no bias in this contest.

There are two tablets as prizes; you may enter one piece for the chance to win one tablet. If you want a chance to win both, you must enter two separate pieces. Please make it clear which tablet you are hoping to win on each entry. You may also enter as many times as you like in each section, but quality > quantity- that is, taking your time to make one piece of outstanding quality is far more likely to give you a win than many quick drawings. If you have any questions about the tablets or would like pictures of their current states, please ask (they're beautiful I assure you )

If you win one tablet, you can't win the other too! You're not allowed to switch choices on which one you want either, so choose carefully.

If you don't want the tablet, you may volunteer for someone else to receive it instead. I can't offer a replacement prize for you, nothing but admiration for being so sweet >3<

I can post worldwide, so you can enter no matter where you're from

Please respect my OCs! No hate or discriminatory art, that goes without saying, but please don't put them into situations inconsistent to their character, change their designs outside the parameters set, etc. It would be helpful for you to read the descriptions to get a better idea of their personalities before you draw them- I'm not going to bite your head off if you do a tiny thing that's inconsistent (variety is the spice of life as they say), but if you, for example, draw Tyler as a shiny bishie then that's not really my OC and kind of defeats the theme of the contest...

I also ask that you don't cross them with fandoms. Aside from that, do as you like with them!

You only need to draw one of them to qualify, but if you want to draw more than one in one piece that's fine too >u< You can draw your own OCs with them too but don't like... overcrowd them, my OCs don't have to be the main focus of the piece but a prominent part of it.

No bases or tracing- using refs/stock is fine so long as you credit the original source and adhere to the rules of the stock provider.

Collaborations are fine so long as you can both agree who would get which prizes... preferably before you enter No commissioned work is allowed this time, as it's a drawing contest and not a designing one.

Any style is acceptable, both traditional and digital will be judged equally on the skill of the medium and the content of the picture. (Literature is also acceptable but I don't think the tablet will really appeal to writers)

You can enter anything from sketches to full paintings but bear in mind, level of effort is a big criteria point, and you're more likely to win the more effort that shows in your piece.

Please upload the finished piece to dA and comment/note me with a link- I must be able to fave the piece, so don't put it in sta.sh!

You don't have to fav the journal or anything but any exposure would be fantastic ;u;
